Goals come in different forms – a fantastic job, home ownership, owning a nice car, taking long vacations, starting a family and building wealth. How would you go about shaping your dreams to create the life you want?
We all generate millions of thoughts in our minds everyday like, “I would like to be millionaire, win the lottery, lose weight, volunteer, change careers, return to school.” Most are random and incorporate our beliefs, values, daily influences and experiences. This is considered “mind chatter”. Mind chatter is a form of self-talk that can cause self-doubt and confusion. What is perceived in the mind may take a different direction and meaning if developed as a goal on paper. And this means putting “you” out there – taking a risk.
If you want your goals to become a reality, you should identify them by writing them down. When writing goals consider the following -
Specific… No matter whatever will be the goal, always write in depth. If you don’t know what you want, how to accomplish it? For instance, you would like to volunteer and make a difference in your community by helping families and you like to build things. How? One way would be to clearly specify that you want to work with Habitat for Humanities building houses on the weekends. Find out all the possible way to be involved and map out how you would fit in the scheme of things.
Realistic… Never set yourself up for failure. After clearly defining the goals, determine whether you can live up to the expectations of those goals. If your job or lifestyle schedule keeps you from committing to a particular goal or area of interest, you might want to revisit it at a later stage in life like getting married, having kids, starting your own business, etc.
Timing? … Goals should always be measured in Short-Term and Long-Term durations and typically span over a lifetime, helping you stay on track and monitor your progress. As your life changes, so will your goals. It is recommended that you review and update the goals regularly.
Measurability?… Your goals should always be a measurable accomplishment – challenges your abilities, helps you to grow and become a better person, acquire a better life. When you decided to attend college you expected to receive a bachelor’s degree once you completed the program, right?
It’s not always easy to look in the mirror and decide what’s in your future – but it can be fun. So when you put your goals together remember the above, the same principles apply no matter the purpose.
SMART Goals – A useful way of making goals more powerful is to use the SMART mnemonic. While there are plenty of variants, SMART usually stands for:
S – Specific M – Measurable A - Attainable R - Relevant T – Time-bound
For example, instead of having “to sail around the world” as a goal, it is more powerful to say “I have to complete my trip around the world by December 24, 2009.” Obviously, this will only be attainable if a lot of preparation has been completed beforehand!
Enjoy The Goals – When you have achieved a goal, take the time to enjoy the satisfaction of having done so. Absorb the implications of the goal achievement, and observe the progress you have made towards other goals. If the goal was a significant one, reward yourself appropriately and share it with your family, friends and the people, if possible.
With the experience of having achieved the goals, review the rest of your goal plans:
If you achieved the goal too easily, make your next goals little harder.
If the goal took a dispiriting length of time to achieve, make the next goals easier.
If you learned something that would lead you to change other goals, do so.
If you noticed a deficit in your skills despite achieving the goal, decide whether to set goals to fix this.
Failure to meet goals does not matter much, as long as you learn from it. Feed lessons learned back into your goal setting program. Key Points Goal setting is an important method of:

EDUCATION
If you want to advance yourself and improve on what you’ve learnt, then you need to educate yourself constantly. Education is an ongoing process, it doesn’t stop for as long as you live. There are new subjects and knowledge to learn everyday. The world’s your oyster and it’s up to you to keep educating yourself to improve skills you want to achieve.
Competition heats up, a powerful formula is not enough
As are all businesses, an Internet business is real. For the uninitiated, running an online business becomes nothing more than a fruitless hobby if proper systems are not set in place. Component #3: Traffic
The third component is your Traffic. You need people to visit your offer. If you don’t have traffic, you don’t have a business. And there is no way to have a transaction on the market without people and customers, so you need to send traffic to your system.
Once you have an offer, you need to send people (lots of them) who are interested in your product to your website that provides valuable information. The most successful internet entrepreneurs usually offer free information as a start. If your readers find that information useful, they can visit a section on your website to purchase an e-book.
Component #4: The Backend
The fourth component is the backend (for the uninitiated, we’re not talking about the rear end of the human anatomy). In business, you don’t get rich from the front end. In other words, if you sell a $30 product, you’re not going to become a millionaire! The trick, that many successful entrepreneurs effectively use, is to set up a backend system. The concept of such a system is simple. After your customers make a $30 dollar purchase, you upsell or “upgrade” them to a higher-end purchase or higher-priced item.
For example, when somebody buys a $30 e-book, you could upgrade their purchase to a $300 DVD set or even a $3,000 personal coaching programme. And this is how you increase your income, this is how you generate multiple streams of income in any business.

Component #5: Duplication
The last component is Duplication. And this is the “magic key” to unlock your ability to duplicate your business and replicate an existing system to as many markets as you wish. I heard numerous stories of people becoming successful after going through hurdles and challenges.

My experience in Internet marketing is like a baby crawling, and likewise for the e-learning is like a baby just learnt how to walk.
